Very well done, thanks!! Even "back in the day" when I was a kid watching Star Trek episodes when they were new, I wondered how an Earth ship from what was then just 30-ish years in the future had artificial gravity!

So sorry I am...um, twelve plus, years late--or 28 plus years depending on whose hour glass we use, the dimensionality of the event, g forces or what ever sucked me into staring at this primitive view screen. I had been told to avoid Dr. Who at all costs...I regret not listening to what were wise words. But to this idle snipping at what has clearly taken a lot of thought, creativity and so much time, you can not know, to make something like this--a pittling sub-seven minute film/video?? All I can say is, can you imagine how much time and money it would have taken in, say, 1966?? I'm an old poop. I fooled around with film a little when I was younger but gave it up for a "good career." Now that I have that big lie out of the way😂, I'm giggling at editing video--no film? I can shoot until my batteries run out or I pitch over dead?? Hell, yeah! I'll just stand here until I get a "spontaneous" response! Add a widget and get a can of--color correction? Add another for backgrounds, a whole lot of thises and thats?? Whatsa LUT?😳 These folks did a pretty good job tying their back story to the canon, and that is no easy manner. Spock bluffed his way past how much Singh controlled of earth? Hell, yes! And the canon got the date wrong that the world went nuts? Any fool can see that Wikipedia Galactica screwed up, once again. A clown contributor put the information in wrong with a bogus refrence and the editor going over his entry was hung over. Next? Great job guys!

If Star Trek ever wanted to dabble in the Horror genre, this would be the story to adapt. That glowing dude trying to pull the other half of the ship back with is mind was pretty terrifying a sight, not to mention how he began to slowly change. and how he killed most of the crew beforehand. He got the "Gary Mitchell" Look.

This short is entirely contridictory to the original story from the ST: TOS episode, "Space Seed". Its cute and all...But, wrong.

The botany bay would not have been aerodynamic to launch from the ground in that configuration. Most likely, the modules sticking out grom the belly were a separate modules attached after launch in orbit

Nope. Botany Bay couldn't have been launched in this fashion. All that external box like structure would have been ripped apart as it shot through the atmosphere before reaching space.

It is not realistic at all. You cannot reach even peed of sound, not speaking about 28 times of it to reach orbit, having flush straight forward rough shaped box on your ship that doesn't have even aerodynamic fairing on it to reduce drag.
